About Me
Hi! I’m Thomas. Currently situated in New York City. I’m really enthusiastic, but also sarcastic and sometimes pretentious. But that’s just what I think, so I’ll let you make the judgement.
Science is perhaps my greatest passion. The idea that all the secrets of the universe can be comprehended by this one way of thinking is amazing. I really love neuroscience and astronomy. Astronomy because we are directly studying the cosmos and expanding out horizons. Neuroscience because I want to learn how we can learn and understand so much and fit all of this knowledge into such a small cranial cavity. The brain can understand the vastness of the cosmos and begin to understand itself. I’m aspiring to become a neuroscientist.
To fulfill my love for science, I try to go to a lot of museums and lectures. I work at the NY Hall of Science as an Explainer and am part of the Explainer blog.
Other than science (there isn’t much), I like taking in media. I spend my time watching television shows. I’m a big fan of Doctor Who and Star Trek (I prefer it over Star Wars, sorry not sorry). I watch a bunch of other shows too. I’m occasionally active in the Nerdfighter community. I write science articles for the a Nerdfighter magazine, The Anglerfish.
I have a really nice friend group here on Tumblr and outside, which is really nice. You can be my friend too if you want. I like people most of the time.
